There's some interesting stuff in the
Times/Populus poll today. The headline only really shows the Labour/Tory position stable if you look at the longer trend, but the questions on Brown are interesting.

I'm very clear that Blair should go as soon as possible and that the Labour Party needs to reconnect with its grassroots to win another election. But I can't see how John McDonnell is the right person to do that.

Controversy has been raging in the pages of Tribune over claims that Labour party staff have been campaigning for the Blair-friendly slate of hacks for the Labour Party NEC elections.
